Why did I start this?

You may ask, why did I even start this website? Well, I remember my stepmom came home complaining about how she found these needles on the sidewalk right outside of a middle school. I thought to myself, "Do I know how to properly clean up needles?" Hint: the answer was no. And I knew about all of the dangers of possibly coming into contact with one. So, I looked it up, and there were plenty of resources out there, but the issue was, there was either too much overwhelming information or it was just too distracting. That's why I wanted to make a site where the information was clean and understanable for anyone. Which is why I added a way for users to click on words that are a bit harder to understand, so they can understand them. Additionally, one of my goals is to add a map to track where needles are frequently seen, or if someone is still too nervous or cannot pick up the needle. So, people can watch out for them or can monitor these more common places. Which is why I am currently focusing on my current state West Virginia. It will be easier to monitor as opposed to the United States as a whole. I do hope to eventually have it rolled out nationally, but you can use it right now for an informational site!

About me

Hello! My name Stephen S., and I am currently a highschool senior living in West Virginia. I will be attending WVU in the fall of '26, where I plan to study Civil Engineering. Since Civil Engineering is such a wide category, I plan to specialize in either Structural or Construction Engineering.

I would consider myself a high achieving and well-rounded student. I am a member of one primary club YLA, and in the winter, I was apart of a Christmas Caroling Club, which was just a fun little positivity outreach. Additionally, I am apart of the National Spanish Honors society, and as I am graduating, I will recieve a global certification that I am proficient in both English and Spanish. Apart from my clubs or other activities, I maintain good grades of primarily A's, not going to lie, Sophmore and Freshman year were rough. However, I am still apart of plenty AP classes and on my transcript I currently have a 4.377 weighted GPA. Finally, I excel in math. On the math portion of the SAT, I ranked in the 94th percentile of all test takers and through that, I got to voluntarily tutor through SchoolHouse World.

Outside of school, I am a brother and a son. I have three brothers and four sisters ranging from the age of 5-21. Not only do we have too many kids, we also have plenty of pets. We have five cats, two dogs, two guinea pigs, and a hedgehog. Beyond that, I also work four days a week at my local McDonalds. Usually, I work Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Basically, I believe I am a well-rounded student and overall person, and I hope to show this through any of my future projects.
